Overall Summary/review:
This short book is the content of a sermon that Vincent preached at his church. As a result, it reads like a sermon. But the editor has updated several things to make reading it easier. (ix)
Throughout the whole book, Vincent shows us that the Father is calling us to Turn and Live. As the editor said, (p. Vii-viii)
This book being a sermon, it is very evangelical and repeatedly shares the gospel and offers the reader a moment to respond to the gospel. (p. 66-67)
Vincent also gives us a very detailed answer as to what is meant by “turning” and “living.” (p. 36, 57)
He offers us a real and hearty definition also of what they are not. (p. 18, 21, 63)
And finally, Vincent challenges us to look inward to our hearts to learn of Christ is there, and upward to the Father for His mercy. (p. 25, 66)
In short, this is a very convicting and moving short book.
